4.4 Connect Pendant
Choose the manual that matches the version printed on your PiBot pendant hardware. Pendant V4.2 and V4.0 use different package, RX/TX and firmware procedures.
PiBot V4.96 ProUse RJ12 Adapter V4.2 · UART2 TX GPIO.27 / RX GPIO.25 · 1,000,000 baud · disable OLED on the shared pins.
Choose by hardware version, not firmware name. Turn off the controller and machine before changing RJ12 connections. For wired use, disconnect the pendant battery exactly as required by the matching manual.

V4.96 Pro connection notes
Connection pathConnect the controller header to RJ12 Adapter V4.2, then connect the approved RJ12 cable to Pendant V4.2.
Shared GPIOUART2 uses TX GPIO.27 and RX GPIO.25. Disable OLED / I2C that uses the same GPIO pair.
RX/TX correctionUse only one swap point in the complete path: Pendant V4.2, RJ12 Adapter V4.2 or ESP3D software. Two swaps cancel each other.
