List 3: Test Probe and Endstop Inputs

SAFETY FIRST: Please ensure correct pin connections to avoid short circuits during testing.

Initial Limits Check

  • Ensure no short between signal and ground
  • Open WEBUI command line
  • Enter command: $limits
  • Status should scroll without trigger indications

Trigger Test with Jumper

💡 Use jumper cap to short signal and ground (refer to diagram)
  • ⚠️ DO NOT short incorrect pins
  • All switches and endstops should show triggered state
  • Corresponding motherboard LED should illuminate

Jumper Removal

  • Remove the jumper cap used for shorting
  • System should return to normal un-triggered state

Expected Results

  • Initial $limits command shows scrolling status without triggers
  • When shorted: All endstops show triggered state and LEDs illuminate
  • After jumper removal: System returns to normal un-triggered state
